This is not a story about beautiful design. It is a story about how a website started doing what until then only referrals had done: bringing in clients.
The situation
SVK Būve builds pile foundations and does groundworks. There was enough work, but it came from referrals and existing clients. The company had a website, but Google could not find it even when people searched for the company name together with a service.
On the old site all services were in a single list, with no separate pages, no price guides and contact details only at the very bottom. On a phone it took more than five seconds to load.
Referrals are a good channel with one drawback: you cannot switch them on. While the season is full, that does not matter. When the calls slow down, the company has no lever to bring enquiries back. Our job was to build that lever.
What we changed
We split the work into four areas. None of them is complicated on its own. The result comes from them working together.
- Structure
- Each service got its own page with its own address, heading and FAQ. In the navigation they are arranged the way the client thinks, not the way they are named in a quote.
- Copy
- We wrote it the way people search: “screw pile foundation price”, “foundations for a house on peat”. The copy answers the question in the first paragraph.
- Tech
- Wix Studio with optimised images, LocalBusiness and FAQ schema, a sitemap and Search Console from day one.
- Google profile
- We sorted out the Google Business Profile: categories, service area, photos from sites and identical contact details everywhere.
Why this order
Structure comes first, because without separate pages there is nowhere to put the copy that Google could show for a specific search. Copy comes second, because it decides which terms the site can appear for at all. Tech and the profile come last: they speed up the result, but on their own they do not rank anything.
Speed on mobile
A large share of searches for construction services happen on a phone, often on site or in the car. The old site took more than five seconds to load, which means some visitors closed it before they saw the first heading. We converted images to modern formats, dropped heavy sliders and kept only what is needed for a decision on the first screen: the service, a price guide and the phone number.

The first enquiries from search appeared in the second month after launch. Six months later Google had become the main source of new clients, and the company started selecting projects by location and size.
The most important thing is not the growth in clicks itself. What matters is that enquiries started to include specific projects with an address and scope, not a generic “how much does it cost”. It means the site answers the first questions before the call and filters out the wrong fits.
Referrals did not disappear. They are still a good channel, just no longer the only one. That is exactly what gives freedom of choice: when there are more enquiries than free crews, you can take the closest and best-suited projects.
What you can repeat
Most of what we did does not need a big budget. If your business lives on referrals, start with these five steps:
- A separate page for every service you sell
- An answer to the client’s question in the first paragraph
- A price guide, even if it is a “from” price
- Contact details visible without scrolling, on mobile too
- A Google Business Profile with the same details as the website

Frequently asked questions
How quickly does SEO show results?
The first changes in Google are usually visible after 4 to 8 weeks. A steady flow of enquiries builds up in 3 to 6 months, depending on competition in the industry.
Is Wix Studio good for SEO?
Yes, if the site is built properly: separate pages for services, clean headings, schema data and fast images. The platform is not the obstacle, poor structure is.
Do I need a new website to get started?
Not always. If your current site is fast and technically clean, separate service pages and rewritten copy are often enough. If it loads slowly and all services are on one page, a new structure usually costs less than patching.
